RM Bridge Modeler Help

Axis, Elevation elements

axes in elevation are composed by elements of different types. These axes elements are defined by using the horizontal symbol row at the top of the elevation window. All defined elements are displayed in a list.

This list can be opened by clicking the VP Data tool in the vertical symbol column at the right side of the program window. RM Modeler stores elevation elements as points with an increment. Therefore, an element consists of:

  • Element type (point, line, circle)
  • 3D-length (respectively arc length)
  • Station S
  • Z-coordinate as level
  • Angle to the station axis (mathematically positive)
  • Curvature (= 1 / radius)
  • spiral parameter (unused)
  • Increments DL3D, DS, DZ, DA, DK
SettingDescription
List of elevation elements

Each elevation element contains 2 lines in the list. The element type and the absolute values of the starting point of this element are shown in the first line. The second line shows the increments.

Note: The increments DS, DZ in the second line are in local coordinates defined bythe angle.
